We all love our Control4 homes. Professional. Reliable. But there's one big thing missing for many of us, and that's direct integration to Apple's home automation ecosystem, HomeKit. Sure, there's the Control4 app, but it's not built-in. It's not designed with the same care and grace that Apple uses in all its products. It's not accessible from the lock screen, or control center. You can't control it with Siri. HomeKit offers this, and much much more. With Varietas Software's Control4 driver and homebridge plugin, you can seamlessly control your whole home with Apple's Siri and Home app.
The simplest way to get up and running is to purchase the Control4 Homebridge driver and a Homebridge Network Appliance from Varietas Software. You can download the latest version of the driver (1.23) from here. You will need your dealer to download the driver and configure it in your project. You can purchase a pre-configured Homebridge Network Appliance directly from Varietas Software using the button below. The Homebridge Network Appliance provides an easy-to-use web-based configuration portal and is delivered with simple setup instructions. You can be up and running with HomeKit in your home in as little as 10 minutes! Want to see how easy it can be? Take a read-through of our User Quick-Start Guide
The system currently supports integration with the following devices installed on a Control4 system:
The Control4 driver is required, but if you're the adventurous type and want to set homebridge up yourself, that's entirely possible. The folks who created homebridge have instructions on how to install on a number of platforms. Visit their Github page to get started. You'll also need the Varietas Software homebridge plugin installed.
Alternatively, if you would like to provide your own Raspberry Pi hardware, you can get up and running almost immediately by installing our Pi OS image. Links to available images are below. Once the image is installed, you can use the system and manually configure the homebridge setup yourself at no charge, or you can license our web-based configuration system for a small fee.
